Pākē

Ceremonial cape
Pākē are capes traditionally worn on ceremonial occasions and as weather protection. These garments were made from leaves or flax and were secured over the wearers shoulder or draped over the upper-back. One could move freely with minimal obstruction wearing the pākē compared to larger garments such as the korowai (cloak).
